ISO audit on-site team Regensburg

On Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 February 2008 the KEMA auditor has visited the Busch on-site team at Infineon Regensburg. The audit was performed to check the compliance with the ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (safety) certificate requirements. With Stephan Kwerka (team leader) the plant monitoring system and the SAP routine preventive maintenance planning were discussed. The on site service process was explained by Walter Tonini (Service Coordinator on site teams). The auditor (Harrie Slangewal) witnessed a maintenance action on-site (“Epitaxy Kopfwechsel”). He also visited the local Busch workshop and warehouse. No shortcomings were recorded. Workshop and warehouse looked very good. The auditor was impressed by the level of safety training and provisions. Improvements are possible in the planning and monitoring of the maintenance.

The next audit is planned for October 2008 at Harmelen.

Busch SVG East Kilbride ISO certified

On 7 and 8 November the KEMA performed an audit of the workshop and on-site team of Busch Semiconductor Vacuum Group at East Kilbride. The audit was successful. The auditor was impressed by the level of organisation and professionalism of both workshop and on-site team.

Good safety measures were taken within the workshop - like for the deco room and the semi clean room - and all safety rules were adhered to very strictly. The organisation and appearance of the workshop was very good. The personal knowledge and skills of the technicians was clearly present and the workshop gave an active impression. Everybody was at work at any moment he walked in. The auditor also visited the on-site team. Also here work and safety were good organised.

The final KEMA conclusion: East Kilbride can be added to the Busch Semiconductor Vacuum Group certificate.

Busch Semiconductor Vacuum Group meets highest requirements ISO and OHSAS certification

At Villach amongst others the service order process was checked (Franz Winkler with KEMA auditor).

At Harmelen the KEMA auditor checked the goods reception (with Panos Papadopoulos and Frank van Waveren).

KEMA audit successful

Per March 1st Busch Semiconductor Vacuum Group achieved certificates for ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Safety). The certificates apply for all workshops and on-site teams on the continent of Europe. The workshops in Harmelen, the Netherlands, and East Kilbride, Scotland, already had respectively the ISO 9001/14001 and ISO 9001 certificates.

The audit KEMA started in December with procedures and instructions. The auditor spent 5 days in January and February at Busch and on-site locations. A few improvement points were identified, but at the final audit in Harmelen on February 16th KEMA concluded Busch fully met all requirements.

With the certificates achieved now, KEMA acknowledges that Busch works good and safely in an environmentally correct way. This is important as it guarantees the quality towards our customers and safety to the Busch organisation.
